Having spent the last 12 months trialling so many cauliflower crust pizza recipes, with countless fails, I believe I have created the perfect recipe. Yep, I have mastered the cauliflower crust pizza base. And yes you can pick up and eat it with your hands like you would a traditional pizza.
Ingredients
1 Cauliflower head
1 Egg
1 Cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 tbls Dried Oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste (I use Himalayan salt)
Method
- Preheat over at 160° Celsius
- Line pizza tray with baking paper
- Juice the cauliflower and discard the juice (or you may want to keep it as a base for vegetable stock)
4. Use the pulp from the cauliflower and put it in a mixing bowl. Add egg, parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined (I use my hands)
5. Place it onto the pizza tray and spread it out evenly until it’s about 1cm in thickness.
6. Cook for 25- 30 minutes until it’s golden on top.
7. Remove from oven and flip the pizza base and gently remove the baking paper. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
8. Add your desired topping. (I recommend only adding the topping when you’re ready to put it back into the oven, because it may become soggy)
Let me know how you go!
